Razor-Sharp Japanese Carbon Steel Blade
The blade edge is made of Japanese carbon steel and hand sharpened by Japanese craftsmen. It is sharp right out of the box, making a smooth silk surface to the wood.
*Blades need to be tuned before use. Japanese hammer GENNO (8-16 oz) or wooden mallet (36-55 mm) are recommended.
Small Hand Size
Mini size for easy handling by beginners. Ideal hand tool for surface finishing and chamfering to small wood projects.
Durable Japanese Oak Body (ECO Oak)
The oak body, dried for around two years, is durable and comfortable in your hand.
*This plane is made of heartwood and has darker grains and patterns than regular oak, but KAKURI has used this material as ECO Oak for SDGs efforts. In terms of quality, it is no different from regular white oak.
