BLADE MATERIAL of the woodworking gouge – chromium contained carbon steel W 108. The steel is hardened to 60-62 Hrc, the blade is razor sharpened, so be careful during woodcarving.
Hardened high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel has perfectly balanced properties for producing wood carving and cutting tools. It’s high strength, wear resistant steel, which keeps sharpening for a long time of use.
