Cold Rolling
We use imported cold rolling machine to cold roll the band saw blade strip
Milling
We use imported milling machine to mill teeth for the blade, making sure teeth are sharp and durable while cutting metal
Heat Treatment
With heat treating on the imported heat treatment machines, the teeth are more hard, more tensive to resist hit and power from the metal. Blade are more durable after heat treating.
Welding
The last step is welding the blade after cutting it to correct size, the welding joint looks much perfect after welding it on high quality imported welding machine, blade life could improve a lot.
Blade Teeth Selection Advice and Welding Joint
How to Improve Life
Blade installation is the first step, make sure teeth is shown outside the guide, and blade strip is clamped tightly inside the guide.Teeth direction should be the same with the direction of wheel rotation, twist the blade from inside to outside if teeth direction is opposite.Running-in is required when blade cuts metal for the first time. It’s important for blade life. During running-in, cutting speed should be 1/3 of normal speed, feed should be 1/4 of normal feed. Usually, after the blade cuts the first several pieces, like 5-10 pieces, adjust cutting speed and feed gradually to normal speed according relative parameters and your metal.Blade tension will be different for differnt wide blades, as time goes on, blade tension will be reduced by the bandsaw and blade stretch, make sure the blade is correct tension, our recommended blade tension is 300N/mm2.Coolant will be useful to cool and lubricate blade and teeth during cutting, better coolant could avoid overheat on the teeth of the blade, and reduce friction between the blade and the metal you cut.Teeth selection is also important, here are our experience:
big variable teeths (like 3/4TPI, 4/6TPI, 5/8TPI) are for cutting ferrous solid rod with big diameter;big constant teeth (like 6TPI) is for cutting ferrous solid rod with small diameter;big variable teeth (like 6/10TPI) is for cutting aluminum, copper, brass etc and other non-ferrous metal;middle variable teeths (like 8/12TPI, 10/14TPI) are for ferrous thick tubing, profile, sheet, plate etc;small constant teeth (14TPI) is for general purpose;small variable teeths (like 12/16TPI, 14/18TPI) is for ferrous thin tubing, sheet, plate, profile etc;small constant teeth (24TPI) is for ferrous thin tubing, plate, sheet etc, don’t cut non-ferrous metal, like aluminum etc.
Welding Joint
We weld blades with high performance welding machine to make sure welding joint looks perfect.
Teeth Direction
Default teeth direction is rightward, if you want leftward direction, please twist the blade from inside to outside.
Original Package
Brand new with original package for this blade with tips behind blade pacakge to help customers.
Metalworking Type
Bi-metal blade is designed for metalworking, ideal for metalworking craftman, blacksmith, mechanic etc.
Compatibility
Accurate length with high performance, compatible with most bandsaws with more choices on teeth pitch.
Ideal DIY Tools
Bi-metal type, M42 grade, 8% cobalt with 2% tungsten, much more fatigue resistant and durable on metal.
Blade Life
Spring steel backer strengthens blade life, hardened edges to cut metal straightly with ease, blade works with high performance.
Product Dimensions : 9.61 x 8.43 x 0.1 inches; 2.08 ounces
Item model number : S64121214SQ
Date First Available : November 15, 2023
Manufacturer : Imachinist
ASIN : B0CNCHXSFB
Bi-metal type, M42 grade, 64-1/2″ long, 1/2″ wide, 0.025″ thick, 14TPI teeth profile (specially quenched type)
Use for cutting soft ferrous metal, do NOT cut any non ferrous metals with this TPI
Hardened and strengthened teeth than S64514, but fragile blade backing (blade body) than S64514, decrease blade tension and feed to avoid blade snapping, avoid blade overbending to avoid breaking blade too
Difference: *S64121214SQ teeth hardness: 67.4HRC – 67.9HRC, *S64514 teeth hardness: 66.5HRC – 67.3HRC
14TPI is suitable for general purpose, 14 tpi is fixed profile or constant teeth pitch
Suits most 4×6 bandsaws and other bandsaws which use 64-1/2″ long, 1/2″ wide band saw blade
Customers say
Customers are happy with the quality, durability, performance, value, and fit of the saw blade. They mention that it cuts really well, holds up forever, and works great for mild steel.
