Extra Razor Sharp White Steel #2
The blade edge is high quality Japanese high-carbon steel (White Steel #2) and is laminated with softer steel. The layered construction of the two steel materials increases blade durability and improves sharpening ease. The blade back is hollow ground for accurate cutting.
Authentic Hand-Forged Works by Japanese Craftsman
Hand-forged welding allows steel and soft iron to join in a U-shape, a feature of the hand-forged chisel known as ”HAKOZUKE.” It increases blade strength and is a sign of a quality hand-forged Japanese chisel.
Sharp Right of the Box
Each blade is finished and sharpened by skilled Japanese craftsmen. Sharp right out of the box.
Long Durable White Oak with Katsura Hoop
